The SP8200dn replaces the SP 8100dn mono laser printer, and is based on the same engine as the mono MP 5000.

All of the important options (2 x finishers/paper feed units/cabinet) are identical to the MP 5000. The printer interface options are mostly common to the SP C811dn. Consumables/parts are identical to the MP 5000 with the exception of the toner which is a different code.
